• Registration Now Open for the 5th Annual Rally in the Valley Pickleball Tournament (fcfreepresspa.com) — Chambersburg pickleball players can now register for the 5th Annual Rally in the Valley Tournament, set for October 16–17 at the Chambersburg Memorial YMCA on East McKinley Street. Open to ages 12 and up, the event offers mixed, men’s, and women’s doubles, with early-bird pricing through September 16 and proceeds supporting the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce and the YMCA. 
• Texas man charged with stalking, flying to Chambersburg and breaking into ex-paramour's home (tristatealert.com) — Chambersburg police say a man traveled from Texas and was found hiding in a closet inside a Cumberland Avenue home, leading to multiple burglary and stalking-related charges. According to authorities, he allegedly flew to Chambersburg, bought tools to pose as maintenance staff, and remains held in Franklin County Jail on $500,000 bail.
• Missing 14-Year-Old Taken Across State Lines, Raped At Franklin County Hotel: PSP Chambersburg (dailyvoice.com) — State police based in Chambersburg say investigators from their Criminal Investigation Unit helped identify a suspect after a missing 14-year-old from Maryland was allegedly taken into Franklin County and raped at a Guilford Township hotel. The teen was found in Hagerstown, and a 27-year-old man from Hagerstown has since been arrested in Maryland and is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
