2 Sought In Mt Airy SEPTA Conductor Shooting: Police

Police said the two men seen here are wanted in connection with the shooting of a SEPTA conductor that occurred Friday afternoon.

MT. AIRY, PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia have released photos and video of the suspects who shot a SEPTA conductor Friday afternoon in Mt. Airy.

At about 3:27 p.m. Friday, May 10, a SEPTA conductor on the Chestnut Hill West regional rail line was shot at the Carpenter Lane station, 157 Carpenter Lane.

The conductor was letting passengers off the train when two men came up to them and demanded their money, police said.

The conductor was trying to get back inside the train when one of the men shot them in the hip, police said.

Both men fled on foot heading toward the Carptenter Lane-Emlen Street intersection, police said.

The shooter was described as a black man in his early 20. He had a mustache, a thin build, a light brown complexion, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with unknown lettering on it.

Police described the second suspect as a black man in his early 20s with a light build, muscular build, a medium complexion, and standing 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with "Gap" on the chest.
