Arrest Made In Post-Election South Philly Grafitti Case: Police

The South Jersey man is facing vandalism and other charges from the Nov. 9 incidents, police said.

Philadelphia Police arrested a South Jersey man in connection with post-election vandalism in South Philadelphia that was found on vehicles, storefronts, and homes, police said.

William Tucker, 58, of Lawnside, N.J., was arrested Nov. 22 after city detectives received an anonymous tip caller who identified the suspect from the surveillance video as William Tucker on Nov. 11, police said.

Police said Tucker was identified as the male in the video that showed Tucker painting the hood of a parked vehicle and vandalizing several other vehicles and homes. The video, taken on 900 block of South 6th. Street, showed Tucker fleeing the area in an unknown director, police said.

Court records show Tucker is facing five counts of criminal mischief and will appear before Judge Teresa Carr Deni on Dec. 8 for his preliminary hearing.
