Burglars Cut Hole In Chestnut Hill Store Roof, Steal $8K
Two people are sought after cutting a hole in a Chestnut Hill gas station roof then taking more than $8,000 from an ATM.
CHESTNUT HILL, PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia said a man stole more than $8,000 from a Chestnut Hill store Wednesday after cutting a hole in the roof to get inside.
According to police, at about 12:10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17 a man cut a hole in the roof of the Sunoco gas station at 8019 Germantown Avenue.
After getting inside, the man broke into an ATM and took about $8,120, police said.

Police said a second person waited on the roof as the other man got inside the ATM.
After taking the money, both left the area in an unknown direction by an unknown manner.

One suspect was described as a black man, possibly a female, with a medium complexion who was wearing burgundy hooded sweatshirt, two-tone dark pants, dark rubber rain boots and gloves with a possible floral pattern.
The second suspect was only described as wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
