Car Arson Attempted on West Gorgas Lane

A person attempted to light a car on fire on West Gorgas Lane on Sept. 2.

Police said they were called to the scene of a car that a woman said she had left at 2:30 a.m. that morning. When she returned to the car, she told police, she found newspaper stuff in a gas tank and paper burnt inside in order to try and set the car on fire.

Officials deemed the act, which took place on the 100 block of West Gorgas Lane, an arson.
