Chestnut Hill Area Rite Aid Hit In Late December Armed Robbery

Help Philadelphia Police identify the suspects.

A Rite Aid in the Chestnut Hill area was robbed in late December and Philadelphia Police are seeking to identify the suspect with the public's help.

Police said the store at 8243 Stenton Ave. was robbed at gun point on Dec. 20 at about 11:36 a.m.

Two men entered the store and said "You know what this is. Open that register," to an employee, police said.

The employee put $300 in a black plastic bag and the men fled the area heading towards Stenton Avenue, police said.

No one was harmed in the robbery, police said.

One suspect is described as a black male between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a heavy build. He has a dark complexion with dark eyes and facial hair. He was wearing a black hooded hacked, black pants, and a black scarf around his face.

The other suspect is also a black male. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build. Police said he has a dark complexion and was wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, black scarf wrapped around the lower half of his face.

Both men were armed with handguns, police said.

Do not approach the suspects if you come across them, police said. If you do see them, contact 911 immediately.
