Chestnut Hill Bike Thief Sought By Philly Police

Can you help police catch the suspect?

Philadelphia Police are seeking help identifying a bike thief suspect who stole a bike from a Germantown Avenue residence on Jan. 15.

According to police, at about 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15, a black male was caught on security footage near a home on the 7600 block of Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill.

The man was later seen walking from the area with a bike that was taken from a storage shed on the property he was seen near, police said.

The bike a is a brown, Specialized brand 10 speed road bike with a black pouch embroidered with "Jackson" on it. The bike is valued at $300, police said.

The suspect is a black male with a medium build, medium complexion, wearing a dark cap, dark zip up jacket with a white collar, black pants, black shoes, and believed to be 30 to 45 years old, police said.

Police said the public should not approach the suspect and should call 911 immediately if he is spotted.
