Chestnut Hill's 'Cheesesteak To Eat Before You Die:' Philly Mag

Have you had the cheesesteak at this Hill spot? It's been listed as one of the "30 Cheesesteaks to Eat Before You Die" by Philly Mag.

CHESTNUT HILL, PHILADELPHIA – The debate over which place has the best cheesesteaks never settles.

But Philadelphia Magazine has curated a list of the "30 Cheesesteaks to Eat Before You Die," and a Chestnut Hill spot made the list.

McNally's Tavern, located at 8634 Germantown Ave. in Chestnut Hill, found itself in good company on the list.

Here's what Philly Mag says about the McNally's unique steak:

Like the Trainwreck (from Beck's Cajun Cafe), the Schmitter is a kind of deviant — a round, stacked and juicy mutant that takes the beef/onion/cheese formula and mad-sciences in some wild hoagie DNA with the addition of sliced tomato and grilled salami. The result is a killer sandwich that is both descended from Philly’s most famous sandwich and wholly its own delicious creature.

While the list features local favorites (John's Roast Pork, Dalessandro’s, Donkey's), it also features some of the more... controversial locations such as Geno's and Pat's.

It even has non-traditional steaks, such as a spicy Indian steak at Little Sicily II, a sweet and spicy Korean steak at Pastrami and Things, and Spot Burger's Philly-Camden-Pittsburgh hybrid steak.

What are some must-try cheesesteaks the list may have left out?
