Diamonds, Emeralds Reported Stolen from Home

Nearly $5,000 in items were reported stolen in a home burglary on Willow Grove Avenue, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, an unknown person entered a house on the 100 block of W Willow Grove Avenue sometime between 7 and 10 p.m. on Oct. 4.

Over $4,000 in items were reported stolen, including a pair of diamond and a pair of emerald earrings.

Police think that entry was gained through a back door in the house and that the unknown person may have exited through the front door.

The total value of all items taken is estimated to be $4,800.
