Portraits of Professional CAREgivers – Their Passion. Their Pain., is a 2015 documentary film that depicts the unseen world of professional caregivers such as nurses, doctors, social workers, police officers, and other human service providers. Made by Philadelphia filmmakers Vic Compher, Rodney Whittenberg, and Tim Fryett, CAREgivers features interviews with human service providers and industry experts, exploring their experiences with compassion fatigue and secondary trauma, and how they heal from it.
