Dog Thrown Out Of Car In West Mt. Airy Friday: Rescue Group

MT. AIRY, PHILADELPHIA – A Golden Retriever was thrown out of of a car last week in the West Mt. Airy-Germantown section of Philadelphia, according to a Philadelphia-based lost pet organization.
According to Team Louie Animal Rescue, a woman driving in the area on the evening of Friday, July 21 reported seeing a car pull over and a man throw a Golden Retriever out of the car.
The group said the woman tried to reach the dog but the dog ran off into the woods and the car in question pulled away.

While the group did not have a photo of the dog, it is sharing around a flyer featuring a Golden Retriever just to give residents an idea of what to be on the lookout for.
"We are asking for volunteers to help hang fliers and share on social media to generate sighting calls," Team Louie said on Facebook. "We know how horrifying this is but we're asking everyone to keep this post positive and supportive in our efforts to to find this dog."

The group said anyone who sees the dog should not chase it and should not post about it publicly.
Rather, anyone who see the dog should call (267) 625-0785 or message Team Louie on Facebook immediately.
The Pennsylvania SPCA said it is working with its Humane Law Enforcement team to learn more information about the incident.
Team Louie Animal Rescue was founded in 2014 as a movement to find one person's lost dog and has since been helping other pet owners and pets reunite.
