UPDATE: Police ID Elderly Woman Murdered In Mt. Airy

Police have identified an elderly woman who was found murdered in her Mt. Airy home Monday morning.

Regina Brunner, 85, was found with a slashed throat in her Roumfort Road home, according to multiple reports. She was later pronounced dead, NBC10 reported.

Police were called to Brunner’s home around 11 a.m., according to 6ABC. When they arrived, they found the deceased woman and discovered her car was missing.

Brunner’s car is a 2007 silver four door Toyota Corolla, with masking tape on the bottom with PA tag PD1402X, 6ABC said.

The crime is currently under investigation and police have not provided a motive.
