“How the West of Ireland Helped to Save Uilleann Bagpiping”, an informative talk by Dr. Scott B. Spencer with accompaniment and demonstration by the talented piper Ivan Goff will be presented on February 18, 2012 at 3:30 pm. The discussion by Dr. Spencer, the most recent Visiting Research Scholar at the Centre for Irish Studies at the National University of Ireland, Galway in association with the American Irish Cultural Institute, will cover the recent history and revival of Uilleann bagpiping.
