History: For 21 years, the space was home to Under the Blue Moon, which sold in 1997, and has been vacant since. (See an article in The Inquirer on the restaurant's closing here.)

The Challenge: Eileen Reilly, former retail recruiter for Chestnut Hill, said that the space "looks finished from the outside, but it's raw inside" citing that it is in need of new floors and other renovations.

Interest: Since no business or restaurant can fill the space as-is, there has been limited interest, until the renovations are completed.

Potential: With a little work, Reilly said, this spot can become one of the great locations in Chestnut Hill. In fact, Reilly calls it her favorite space in the neighborhood. She expressed hopes to one day see it as a combined retail and cafe space. "It has a lovely French feel to it," Reilly said.
