Americans in Struggle Film Series Continues at Restoration Church

On Wednesday February 26th, at 6:00PM, the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Restoration in Mt. Airy will present two films about mass incarceration in America.

 The award winning "Broken on All Sides" is a film about race, mass incarceration, and new visions for Criminal Justice in America by Philly filmmaker Matt Pillescher. And "Stolen Dreams" is a short documentary film, made by members of the Youth Art & Self-Empowerment Project, an organization led by young people who experienced life inside an adult jail and are now leaders of their communities.

“The United States has about five percent of the world’s population and houses around 25 percent of its prisoners”.
