The First United Methodist Church of Germantown (FUMCOG)
is pleased to announce its next installment in the monthly series of
concerts and services "First Sundays Music & Meditation." On
Sunday, March 2nd at 5PM, we will offer a meditative and contemplative
service by candlelight, featuring the entrancing music of the Taize
community in our beautiful Gothic space, Turner Chapel. The brief
service will also feature prayers and readings. Following the service,
the Renaissance Chamber Choir Vox Fidelis will give a brief concert
featuring The first set of Lamentations by Thomas Tallis, Miserere Mei
of William Byrd and the Nine Tunes from Archbishop Parker's Psalter of
Tallis. The concert is open to the public and there will be a freewill
offering taken.
