Germantown Avenue Store Robbed Saturday: Police
A man pulled out a gun when a Rite Aide employee confronted him for allegedly taking items without paying for them Saturday, police said.
PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are looking for a man who robbed a Germantown Avenue store at gunpoint Saturday.
According to police, a man came into the Rite Aid located at 6201 Germantown Ave. at about 3:57 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17.
He took numerous items without paying and an employee confronted him, police said.

The man then pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and refused to return the items and fled the location in a burgundy Nissan sedan, police said.
There were no injuries reported during this incident.

The suspect was described as a black male with a light complexion who was 30-40 years-of-age with a thin build He was wearing black shorts, white t-shirt, and a white scarf on his head.
