Ken Ulansey Trio featured at Jazz Vespers
The Ken Ulansey Trio was featured last Sunday Jazz Vespers.At the December 20th Restoration is featuring Karen L. Smith at 4:30 pm.
The Ken Ulansey Trio was featured last Sunday November 15th at 4:30 pm as part of Restoration’s monthly Jazz Vespers.
The jazz trio included Ken Ulansey on saxophone, Jeannie Brooks on vocals and pianist Heath Allen. The trio played a rousing and soulful mix of jazz standards, including Duke Ellington, Gospel, and contemporary artist Stevie Wonder.
Philadelphia’s great jazz artist Ken Ulansey, Penn Council for the Arts winner, plays alto sax, soprano sax and clarinet in orchestral contemporary classical music and jazz with his award-winning band. A musical chameleon and virtuoso in many styles, Ken also leads a wedding band that offers swing, Motown, Latin, pop, zydeco and oldies. He’s performed in Europe, can be heard on nearly 200 discs, and has composed and performed music for dancers, film-makers, poets and story-tellers.

At the December 20th Restoration Jazz Vesper’s, Karen L. Smith on percussion and vocals will be featured at 4:30 pm.
The Unitarian Universalist Church of the Restoration on 6900 Stenton Ave is located at Gorgas Lane in East Mt. Airy (19150).

The donation is a sliding scale of $10 to $15 and refreshments are served.
