Man Attacks SEPTA Officer, Dies After Being Tased: Reports

A man who attacked a SEPTA police officer early Monday died after being Tased during the assault, according to multiple reports.

A male SEPTA officer is hospitalized with non life threatening injuries due to the attack, which happened at the Huntington Station along the Market-Frankford Line station in Kensington, the Inquirer said.

NBC10 reported the SEPTA officer used his Taser to subdue the man, who was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities did not say what prompted the 2 a.m. attack.

The station has been reopened for service following the police investigation.
