Man Found Dead From Gunshot Wound After Mt. Airy Crash

The driver was shot once in the temple, police said.

A man died from a gun shot wound to the temple Tuesday afternoon in Mt. Airy, Philadelphia Police said.

A 911 call at about 12:27 p.m. reported an overturned Ford Expedition in the area of 500 West Walnut Lane near Parkline Drive and when medics arrived the found a 33-year-old male dead from a gunshot wound to the temple, police said.

He was pronounced dead at 12:35 p.m., according to police

Police said they did not find a weapon at the scene and no one was been taken into custody.

6ABC reports a woman was seen running from the area across the Walnut Lane bridge.
