Man Shot, Killed in East Mount Airy: Report

A man was shot to death in his car in East Mount Airy Wednesday night, the Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting.

According to the report, the gunfire was heard around 11 p.m. on the 400 block of Vernon Road.

When police responded, a 37-year-old man was reportedly found with a gunshot wound to his torso. The man was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he died, the Inquirer said.

The identity of the victim was not yet released.
