Man Sought In East Germantown Shooting

Police said a man in his 50s or 60s shot a 23-year-old man several times on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Germantown.

PHILADELPHIA — A man is sought in connection with a shooting that occurred in East Germantown this week, according to Philadelphia Police.

Police said the man above is wanted after firing rounds at a 23-year-old man at 3:09 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14 on the 6100 block of Wister Avenue.

The victim and shooter got into an argument which ended with the shooter pulling out a handgun and shooting the victim several times, police said.

Police said the shooter then ran from the area in the 5500 block of Sprague Street towards Locust Avenue.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his wounds.

Police described the shooter as a black man, 50 to 60 years old with a light gray beard/goatee. He was 6 feet to 6 feet 4 inches tall with a medium build, medium complexion. He was wearing a plaid gray/tan “jeff” style hat, dark colored zip up jacket, denim style jeans and gray sneakers
