Mt. Airy USA Offers Housing Services
Mt. Airy USA offers financial services for new and current homeowners.

Besides corridor development, educational grants and a slew of other programs, Mt. Airy USA also offers housing counseling to city residents.
“We have two counselors on staff,” said Mt. Airy USA Executive Director Anuj Gupta. “We offer classes for new homeowners, and we offer help to people who’s home might be going into foreclosure.”
"The goal is always to keep people in their homes," Gupta said.

Gupta added, “We want to help people make responsible decisions so that we can avoid getting into the mess we’ve been in for the last couple of years.”
Besides counseling, Mt. Airy USA also offers financial literacy programs.

“The goal is to provide people with the kind of information that can help them become upwardly mobile,” Gupta said.
Gupta added, “We offer classes on how to use credit cards properly, and how to plan for retirement.”
Mt. Airy USA can also offer post home purchase help.
“We do a lot of things. For example, right now we have a program where people can get a low interest home improvement loan to make their home more cost effective and more cost efficient,” Gupta said.
Gupta added that Mt. Airy USA provides these kinds of services to about 700 people a year from all across the city.
