Murdered Elderly Woman's Car Located In North Philadelphia

Police have located the car of the elderly woman who was found murdered in her Mt. Airy home Monday morning.

Regina Brunner, 85, was found with a slashed throat in her Roumfort Road home, according to multiple reports. She was later pronounced dead, NBC10 reported. Her car, a 2007 silver Toyota Corolla, was also missing and police had been looking for it.

NBC10 reports that the car was found more than six miles from Brunner’s home, on Stillman Street in North Philadelphia.

Police were called to Brunner’s home around 11 a.m. Monday, according to reports. When they arrived, they found the deceased woman.

The crime is currently under investigation. Police told NBC10 it appears a robbery was the apparent motive. No suspects have been named.
