Although you won’t find fancy service, decorations, or cloth-covered tables, you will be impressed with the friendly service and good food. Walking into the establishment you might be a little put off by the starkness. Clean, but a bit bare, there is the traditional display of entrées on the marquee behind the cashier.
The cashier greeted me with a smile and after I gave my order he repeated it back to make sure he got everything correct. Since there wasn’t really a waiting area, I informed him that I would be back. Located in the plaza, it gives customers the opportunity to do other errands while your food is being prepared.

I wanted something a little on the somewhat unhealthy side and something not so healthy. For the unhealthy side, I chose the Sesame Chicken. The chicken pieces were carved to be bite-sized, fried, and covered with a sweet yet tangy sauce. It was paired with stalks of crisp steamed broccoli. It was nice to see that the vegetables were fresh rather than frozen so I didn’t feel totally guilty.
On the healthier side, I ordered the Vegetarian Delight. It was a mix of carrots, broccoli, onions, peppers, celery, and leeks. Once again the vegetables were fresh rather than bulk frozen. They were cut to bite-sized and cooked until they were tender yet a bit crispy.

The sauce was teriyaki and was quite heavy. The vegetables were swimming in the sauce. I would find this a problem if the sauce weren’t delicious. If you order an egg or spring roll, it makes a pretty good dipping sauce.
Speaking of the egg rolls, New China Court advertises on their menu that both their egg rolls and spring rolls are homemade. Skeptical at first, I can tell the difference between the rolls offered at New China Court and the ones you can pick up in the freezer section at your local supermarket.
New China Court has a large list of items that are typically found at American-Chinese restaurants. They serve lunchtime specials such as Egg Foo Young and Beef with Snow Peas at very economical prices.
The portions are more than enough for two. An added perk that many Chinese restaurants cannot offer is that it tastes just as delicious the next day. So if you have the midnight munchies, you can enjoy your Seafood Supreme in all its glory again.
Tucked at the end of the shopping plaza, New China Court offers the “lowest price in town.” While that may be true, you also have the privilege of placing your order and drop by the post office, visit the dry cleaners, or many of the other amenities in the area.
