Parks On Tap Moves To Fernhill Park In Germatown This Weekend

For the third week of the summer-long roving beer garden program, Fernhill Park will host Parks On Tap through Sunday.

PHILADELPHIA – For the third week of the popular roving beer garden program Parks on Tap, Fernhill Park in Germantown serve as the beer garden's host.

The park will begin hosting the garden at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 16.

Fernhill Park's beer garden hours are from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday

Special events are planned for this week's Parks on Tap installment:

  • Wednesday, May 16: Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the Friends of Fernhill Park. Half of proceeds will go to support Fernhill Park.
  • Thursday, May 17: Roots2Rise will host a free yoga class in the park from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Donations are encouraged and those who donate receive a free beer ticket to redeem at Parks on Tap.
  • Saturday, May 19: Two performances by Unidos Da Filadelfia starting at 4 p.m.

Fernhill Park is located at 4600 Morris St. in the Germantown neighborhood.

Parks on Tap is an initiative with the city that kicked off in 2016, aiming to engage the Philadelphia community and give back to the neighborhood parks. It is a partnership with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, Fairmount Park Conservancy and Avram Hornik of FCM Hospitality.
