An American Airlines flight from Munich to Philadelphia had to make a landing in England due to a medical emergency, an airlines spokesman confirmed to Patch.
American Airlines Flight 717 took off from the German airport around noon, 6 a.m. EST, but had to land two and half hours later due to the mid-air emergency, NBC10 reports.
The flight is now expected to arrive in Philadelphia around 6pm local time, American Airlines spokesman Justin Franco told Patch. All other passengers are safe and healthy aside from the passenger who required attention, Franco said. That person's condition is not known.

The nature of the medical emergency was not revealed by authorities but the Daily Mirror reports a passenger had a seizure.
