Philly Employment Company Failed To Pay $760k In Taxes
The owner reportedly paid most of her employees in cash. But she never took out income tax.

A Philadelphia company pled guilty in federal court on Tuesday for failing to to pay over $700,000 in taxes in 2009 and 2010.
Thanh Son, the president and owner of the Philadelphia-based TNT Employment Agency, paid most of her employees in cash and only a few by check, according to court documents.
Standing before the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Son pled guilty to willingly filing a false tax return.

For all of the employees which she paid in cash, she did not deduct federal income taxes or FICA taxes, among others.
The total tax loss to the government was $761,147.92 during all quarters in 2009 and 2010.

Documents indicated that Son did collect taxes for the individuals which she paid by check.
Son’s sentencing is scheduled in Philadelphia for January 27 at 4 p.m. before Judge McHugh in courtroom 9B.
TNT, which was incorporated in 2004, was based on 2627 South 3rd Street.
