Philly GOP Calls For Firing Of Assistant City Solicitor Seen In Anti-Trump Graffiti Video

The party chair calls the incident "an astonishing feat of idiocy."

The Philadelphia Republican Party is calling on the Assistant City Solicitor seen in security footage at the scene of a vandalism at a Chestnut Hill grocer to be fired.

Party chairman Joe DeFelice said in a blistering statement that Duncan Lloyd should be fired from the city's law department immediately.

Lloyd was confirmed to be in the video by the first deputy city solicitor in the City of Philadelphia Law Department Craig Straw Wednesday.

"The taxpayers should be entrusting exactly none of our faith into this man," DeFelice said in a statement.

DeFelice chides Lloyd in the scathing statement, calling the act "the most bourgeois sight imaginable," specifically referring to Lloyd's outfit and wine glass in hand while being a party to vandalism on a "upscale grocery store."

“To my knowledge, Mr. Lloyd has already contacted the Philadelphia Police and is cooperating with them," Straw said in a statement. "We will decide on a course of action once we obtain more information about the investigation. We do not condone this type of behavior from our employees.”

Lloyd is not seen spray painting the building with the anti-Trump message, but is seen taking photos of the other man's vandalism in the video below:
