The classic diner in South Philly was damaged by a fire Wednesday night, but it seems the eatery will be up and running again soon.

PHILADELPHIA — The iconic Melrose Diner in South Philadelphia caught fire Wednesday night, according to reports. However, the diner will likely open again soon.
Action News reports the fire broke out at the diner at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the outlet, the blaze was put out by firefighters who believe it started due to an electrical issue.

But the diner's owner, Michael Petrogiannis, told CBS he plans to have the eatery back to normal in about a week.
