Philly's Rooster Soup Co Gets New Name, New Menu

The popular eatery which has earned national recognition for its food and its altruistic mission, is going to change things up a bit.

PHILADELPHIA – The Rooster Soup Co. in Center City has been lauded for its food and mission to give all proceeds to the Broad Street Hospitality Collaborative organization. But the popular spot with a retro-diner feel is about to undergo some changes.

The brain child of Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook – whose restaurant group CookNSolo runs Federal Donuts, Zahav, and Abe Fisher – Rooster Soup Co. will be renamed "The Rooster," according Solomonov and Cook.

With a new name comes a new menu, and it will be focused on Jewish deli offerings.
