Police Blotter: Burglary and Thefts

The following information has been supplied by the 14th District of the Philadelphia Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Burglary …  A resident of the 100 block of West Chestnut Hill Avenue reported June 26, 5:20 p.m., that someone had cut open a screen and pried open a window to gain entry into his home, police said. According to the police, the homeowner is out of town, and the burglary was discovered by his ex-wife, so it is unknown what was taken.

Theft from auto … A resident reported June 25, 10 a.m., that while he was parked on the 9200 block of Stenton Avenue, that someone had entered his unlocked car and taken his wallet, police said.

Theft from auto … A woman reported June 22, 9:30 a.m., that while she was parked at Germantown Avenue and Bells Mill Road, someone damaged her driver-side door and passenger-side window and entered her car, taking a pocketbook with cash, credit cards and identification, police said.
