
A man was stabbed outside of Valley Green Inn Sunday night, according to police, after a dispute in Fairmount Park.
At 5:50 p.m., Clifford Brownawell, 21, from New Jersey reported that he had an argument in the park with a group of men. According to police, the argument was over a group of women who were also in the park.
Following the argument, Brownawell left the park. When he arrived in the parking lot outside the inn he was surrounded by the group of men that he had encountered earlier, police reported.

According to police, Brownawell was stabbed by one of the men three times, once in the stomach and twice on his left side. Brownawell was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center. Damien Woods, a spokesman for the hospital, said that Brownawell was in good condition.
Brownawell described his attacker as a white male, 5'4", with dark, curly hair, last seen wearing no shirt and dark shorts, police said.
