Police: Man Walks in on Burglary

The burglary was on the 8100 block of Devon Street.

A resident of the 8100 block of Devon Street cam home after three days away to find an unsettling surprise: an open front door and four strange men in his house, police said.

According to police, a man reported March 23, 10:12 p.m., that he came home after three days out of town to find an active burglary going on in his home. When the perpetrators realized the homeowner was present, they fled, two through a second-story window, police said.

The men dropped items that had been removed from the home, including a DVD player and a Dell laptop in the back yard of the home as they fled. The resident told police that two of the men fled westbound on Hartwell Lane, and the other two fled southbound on Devon Street in a silver Ford Taurus, according to police reports.
