Police: West Mt. Airy Home Broken Into

The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

A West Mt. Airy home was broken into and approximate $500 in items were reported stolen as a result, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.

According to reports, a homeowner on the 7100 block of E McCallum Street told police that, after leaving her for approximately two hours on Jun 7, she returned home and found a door into her hours had been kicked in by an unknown person.

Upon searching the house, the woman told police that items had been taken from the second floor of the house, including a pearl necklace estimated to be valued at $500.

Police searched the home and processed it for fingerprints. An investigation is ongoing.
