Prescription Drugs Stolen In CVS Armed Robbery: Philly Police
Two men robbed a CVS on Stenton Avenue at gunpoint and stole prescription drugs that are used to create an intoxicating drink.
PHILADELPHIA – Two armed men stole bottles of prescription drugs from a North Philadelphia CVS recently, according to police.
Police said two armed men came in to the CVS at 6344 Stenton Ave. at about 1:03 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.
One of the men jumped over the counter and went to the area of the pharmacy where bottles of Promethazine with Codeine were kept, police said. Promethazine with Codeine are often used in combination with soda to create an intoxicating drink.

While that man stole the drugs, the other pointed a gun at the workers and demanded cash from the registers, police said.
In total, the men took five bottles of 400ml Promethazine with Codeine – valued at $400 – and $100 cash, police said.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt, police said.
According to police, the men may have fled the area heading west on Duval Street in a dark-colored Chrysler 200 or 300 Model.
One suspect is described as a light complected black man standing 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with a muscular build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask with orange and white designs, and black gloves.
The other suspect was described also as a light complected black male. He stood about 6 feet tall and weighed about 185 pounds with a thin build. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and a black ski mask.
Both were armed with semi-automatic style handguns, police said.
Anyone who sees these suspects should not approach them and instead should contact 911 immediately.
