Reporter Attacked On-Air During Broadcast In Philly [VIDEO]

A reporter for a local news network was attacked on the air Wednesday during a live broadcast in Philadelphia.
The reporter, identified as Iris Delgado from Telemundo 62, was in front of City Hall while reporting back to the studio when a woman in a green t-shirt approached her, tapped her on the shoulder and hit her twice in the head.
"Ay, Dios mio," anchor Ramón Zayas said in response immediately following the unexpected on-air attack. The shot then cuts away from Delgado.

“Iris Delgado was the victim of an unprovoked attack by an individual while reporting live for Telemundo62’s 11 PM local newscast. Thankfully, she is ok and is understandably taking some time off to recover. We look forward to her return," a station spokesperson said in a written statement provided to Patch.
NJ.com reports that Waheedah Wilson of Philadelphia has been arrested in connection with the incident. It is unclear what prompted the attack.
