Shotgun, Jewelry Stolen In Chestnut Hill Home Burglary: Police

Police said about $14,000 in jewelry and a semi-automatic shotgun were stolen between Dec. 26 and Dec. 27 from a Chestnut Hill home.

CHESTNUT HILL, PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia Police said thousand of dollars worth of jewelry and a shotgun were stolen from a Chestnut Hill home in burglary that occurred between Dec. 26 and Dec. 27.

Police said sometime between 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 26 and 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27, a home on the 8300 block of Millman Street was entered.

Police said the suspects forced open a side window and then ransacked the home.

When the victims went through the home to see what was stolen, the learned about $14,000 worth of jewelry and a Beretta semi-automatic shotgun, valued at about $2,000, were stolen.

The suspects are described as a black male with a stocky build and a beard. He was wearing a knit ski cap and a down vest over a hooded sweatshirt, police said. The other suspect is only described as a male with a medium build who was wearing a knit ski cap and hooded sweatshirt, police said.
