The solstice supreme was the order of the evening Stephen Wise & the Edge (a jazz quartet) at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Restoration on Sunday, December 21 at 4:30 pm.
Bandleader and lead vocalist for the Edge for the last 20 years, Stephen Wise (also on sax and flute) appeared with Toby Johnson on drums, Steven Page on keyboard and Doug Grigsby, III, on bass. Between them, members of the group have been nominated for a Grammy, drummed with Luther Vandross, and performed or recorded with Patti Labelle, Boyz II Men, The Roots, and Britney Spears.
