Suspect Sought In Mt. Airy-Area Residential Burglary: Police

The suspect got in the residence by taking out an air conditioner then climbing through the window, police said.

Philadelphia Police are looking for a suspect involved in a residential burglary in the are of the city's Mt. Airy neighborhood.

According to police, the incident occurred at about 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21 at the 6800 block of North 19th Street.

Police said the suspect got inside a home after removing a window-mounted air conditioner and then pushing the window in.

The suspect took a 60-inch LG flat screen TV and numerous credit cards while inside, police said.

After stealing the items, the suspect fled the area an was last seen heading north in the residence's rear driveway, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male between 20 to 30 years old with a beard, medium complexion, stocky build who was wearing a dark knit hat, dark jacket, dark pants and black sneakers with white soles, according to police.

Police said the public should not approach the suspect and should call 911 immediately if he is spotted.
