Theft Reported at Two Houses on the Same Block
The following information is provided by the Philadelphia Police Department.

Over $2,000 in items were reported stolen in a single day on Homer Street in Mt. Airy, according to a release from the Philadelphia Police Department.
According to reports, an unknown person gained entry to a house on the 6300 block of Homer Street on October 1 sometime between 8:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. through a basement door. Two televisions and a video game console were reported stolen.
A second house on the 6200 block of Homer street was also reported broken into on October 1. According to police, unknown parties entered the house through the back door sometime before 10:30 a.m. and stole a TV, several video players and a laptop.

The total value of all the stolen items is estimated to be approximately $2,100. Police were able to collect finger prints from one of the crime scenes, though there is nothing in reports to suggest that the two incidents are connected beyond location and date.
An investigation is ongoing.
