THREE GREAT CAMPS TO GET KIDS DANCING THIS SUMMER!
SUMMER BALLET INTENSIVE: Intermediate and advanced ballet students can hone their skills with this popular streamlined program. Dancers should be between the ages of 10-22 and have at least two years of experience. Students will study ballet, pointe, partnering, jazz, modern, character dance, historical dance and yoga. Guest master teachers from the Donetsk Ballet will make the long journey from Ukraine to teach the four week program. The first two week session, June 20 to July 1, 2016, will feature the immensely popular Vadim Pisarev, Artistic Director of the company along with his wife, former Principal Dancer, Inna Dorofeyeva. Current Principal Dancer, Irina Komarenko will head the faculty the second two week session, July 5 to July 15 with Yosbel Delgado formerly of PA Ballet. Donald Lunsford, Artistic Director of Philadanco II, Svetlana Lutz, former principal dancer of Stavropol Cossack’s Dance Troupe, and Meghan Dwyer, yoga instructor of Blue Banyon Yoga. Rounding out the faculty is Artistic Director, Nancy Malmed, Artistic Director of Wissahickon Dance Academy and Elena Tiuriakulova, former Principal Dancer with Krygyz Opera and Ballet and current Ballet Mistress at WDA.Held from June 20 – July 15, 2016, at 38 E. Schoolhouse Lane, Philadelphia, the four week program runs Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and stresses the highly acclaimed structured Vaganova syllabus that closely resembles the type of study adhered to in the former Soviet Union. Costing $1200 for the four week program or $325 per week, the Intensive is intended for serious students who want to improve their technique. A studio performance will be held at the end of each two week session, followed by a reception.

SUMMER BEGINNER DANCE CAMP: A unique camp for children ages 7 and up who have little or no dance training. In two action packed weeks of camp, students will learn the basics of Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and Modern in a fun and creative atmosphere, focusing on basic positions and movements and allowing for creativity. At the end of camp students will perform their new skills for family and friends.
Dates: July 18 – 29, 2016
Time: 9am to 12pm
Cost: $200 per week, or $375 for two weeks.

PRE-BALLET DANCE CAMP - Dancing Fairy Tales: For ages 4-6, will feature favorite stories from around the world explored dynamically through dance. This one week dance camp will foster your child’s creativity by using creative dance and ballet as a springboard into exploration and discovery—expressing stories, ideas and dreams that go beyond performing a series of steps.
