Why the Cross?

Don’t Miss Why the Cross? A Good Friday Celebration Presented by New Covenant Youth Ministries on Friday, April 3rd at 6:00pm at New Covenant Church of Philadelphia.

For the past six years New Covenant Church of Philadelphia’s youth ministry, New Covenant Youth Ministries, has hosted an annual Good Friday Service. This event is planned, produced, and performed students of New Covenant Youth Ministries. Over the past six years hundreds of youth and adults have attended this event. It continues to be a time of reflection and celebration during the Lenten season.

With this year’s theme being “Why the Cross?” the event will be focusing on the meaning and significance of the cross. The service will feature the talents of many local students representing various art forms, including dance, song, and drama. “Why the Cross?” will include monologues that reflect on the real-life struggles of teenagers. There will also be dance presentations from New Covenan’s SonRise praise dance company and S.P.E.A.K. Praise Mime troupe. Voices of Praise, New Covenant’s Youth and Young Adult Choir, will also be featured. This event is free open to the entire community.

This is a good opportunity for youth groups to have a nice outing, or for anyone who just wants to be uplifted on Good Friday. “Why the Cross?” will take place on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 6:30pm at New Covenant Campus (7500 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19119) in the Gymnasium.
