Woman Attempting To Shoot Germantown Robber Hits Security Guard: Report

The security guard was hit when the woman fired rounds at the robber, who was arrested and charged.

A woman who was being robbed at a Germantown grocery store fired rounds from her revolver at the robber, but ended up injuring a security guard instead, according to reports.

Philly.com reports the woman was going to the Save-a-Lot grocery store on Pulaski Avenue Monday morning when Brian Prater, 45, of Philadelphia, approached her and attempted to hit her with a stick, the outlet reports.

Prater then threw a cup of coffee at her and that's when the woman pulled out her revolver and fired tow rounds, but one is believed to have ricocheted off the ground then struck a 24-year-old security guard in the shin.

The security guard was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center and was listed in stable condition, the outlet reports.
