Woman Robbed at Gunpoint, Police Say

A woman's cell phone is stolen from her at gunpoint.

A man robbed a Mt. Airy woman at gunpoint on May 2, at 7 p.m., in the 400 block of East Mount Pleasant Avenue, police said.

The woman was walking down the street when a man approached her from behind and grabbed her by the throat, police said.

The man then pressed what the woman described as a black handgun against her right temple, police said.

The man then told the woman to give him her phone or he would blow her head off, police said.

The woman gave the man her iPhone, and the man fled east toward Stenton Avenue, police said.
