Woodmere Tuesday Nights at the Movies with Philly Inquirer Steven Rea

The screening will be introduced by Philadelphia Inquirer movie critic Steven Rea. Pre-screening, he will be signing his book Hollywood Cafe: Coffee with the Stars.

One of the best-reviewed films of the 1990s is Curtis Hanson’s adaptation of James Ellroy’s labyrinthine police thriller. Set in 1950s Los Angeles, three very different cops investigate a series of murders with their own brand of justice. Stars Kevin Spacey, Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, James Cromwell, Danny DeVito, and Kim Basinger, who won an Oscar for her role as a Veronica Lake look-alike.

Woodmere Art Museum and the Chestnut Hill Film Group are present the 42nd season of rare and underseen films as well as classics. Season sponsored by the Chestnut Hill Local.
