Car Crashes into Cranberry Storefront

An elderly woman accidentally stepped on the wrong pedal and crashed her car through a Yankee Candle storefront in Cranberry this afternoon.

The driver, 77, who hasn’t been identified, was not injured in the crash and neither were any of the three shoppers in the store, according to TribLive.com. The car drove over the sidewalk, crashing through the front doors to the store and shattering the entrance. The accident occured on route 19 in Cranberry Township at the Streets of Cranberry shopping plaza, TribLive.com reports.

There is no word on what caused the accident, according to KDKA Pittsburgh.
