Cranberry Among Top Places To Get Comfortably Wealthy

Cranberry ranked high in new study by LendEDU.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - If you’re looking for a place to make money, you might want to consider settling in Cranberry.

The township has been nationally recognized as among the best places in America for building wealth by LendEDU, a New Jersey company that provides a marketplace for student loans, student loan refinancing, credit cards, personal loans and other financial products.

LendEDU analyzed more than 3,000 communities across the country to determine the extent a person’s residence can contribute to their financial prosperity. Cranberry ranked 215th and was the only place in Western Pennsylvania to finish among the top 250.

"We were not surprised to learn of this recognition,” township manager Jerry Andree said. “We are fortunate to have residents who are engaged and passionate about their community, which we feel reflects their own passion in improving their lives and their family's. This ranking validates our residents are movers and shakers."

Township supervisors chairman Dick Hadley said Cranberry is pleased to be in the company of
the successful communities cited in LendEDU’s study.

"We don’t usually preach the gospel of wealth here in Cranberry. Instead, we strive for community building,
resident engagement and customer service," he said. "But we’re delighted to know at people can prosper here while leading happier lives. "

In determining the rankings, LendEDU examined various factors that would affect a person’s ability to build enough personal wealth to, for example, purchase a second home, pay for a child’s education or retire comfortably.

LendEDU evaluated parameters such as median earnings from income, median home value, average monthly home cost and property tax rate. Cranberry’s median individual earnings from income is $51,560, its average home market value is $236,600 and the average monthly home cost is $1,567.
