Cranberry Amphitheater To Receive Major Makeover
The Cranberry Township Community Chest has made the facility its 2020 project of the year.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - The rotary amphitheater in Community Park will get a significant upgrade soon, as the Cranberry Township Community Chest has made the 17-year-old entertainment facility its 2020 project of the year. The project's details have not been finalized, but plans call for the amphitheater's roofline and performance area to be extended.
The amphitheater has been a venue for concerts and other presentations throughout the summer months since it opened in 2002. But a number of performances have been canceled because of rain, something that might become a thing of the past depending on the project's final budget.
Depending on how successful fundraising efforts are, the amphitheater could also get an enhanced sound board, electrical service upgrades, additional lighting, facade enhancements and improved vehicular access to the facility.
