Cranberry Parks To Reopen

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — Several township parks and recreation facilities will open Wednesday after being closed during the coronavirus.
To ensure the safest possible recreational environment, several protocols have been outlined for those using Community Park, Graham Park and North Boundary Park. The protocols align with yellow phase of Pennsylvania’s tiered reopening plan and follow all federal, state and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.
Signage has been posted identifying open and closed areas within each park.

While using the parks:
• Several facilities are open for unstructured free play only. No structured team play is permitted.
• Single play or with family members only.
• Social distancing is encouraged while entering and exiting the facility, as well as while using facilities.
• Equipment should not be shared.
• Face masks are encouraged to be worn.
• Avoid using the facilities if sick or showing symptoms.
• Wash hands often and sanitize touch points of equipment after each use.
Township crews will increase the sanitization of restroom facilities. Courts, facilities and fields will be maintained as normal.

Closures that remain in place for areas and equipment are intended to limit the number of individuals gathered in one place, as per state requirements. Additionally, some areas feature many touchpoints that could spread disease.
